    Information

This kit consists of the base component (466-21-1302) and the curing agent X541, part of AkzoNobel’s 21Series high-solids epoxy topcoat system. It cures chemically (no bake required) to produce a hard, durable finish that resists aviationspecific chemicals including fuels, phosphate ester (Skydrol) hydraulic fluids, and other corrosive media. The flat X-541 curing solution yields a subdued, low-gloss (matte) finish. The technical data sheet states a dry film thickness (DFT) of about 25–37?µm (1.0–1.5 mil) when applied under standard conditions. This coating system is designed to meet environmental regulations (e.g., low-VOC) while delivering high performance in aerospace MRO or OEM contexts.
