Sales Supervisor

Hours of Work

8:30am to 5:00pm - Monday to Friday (you may be required to do some additional hours and weekends)


Job Purpose

  • Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be responsible for daily management of the sales function.
  • Ensuring maximum productivity of the team
  • Regular KPI report generating and reviews  
  • Managing, mentoring, and training staff
  • Ensuring top service levels are maintained through quick responses and customer prioritization
  • Offering top of the line after-sales support and dispute resolution

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain the shortest turnaround time for answering inquiries
  • Resolve customer disputes
  • Ensuring on time RFQ and orders processing
  • Keeping a tab on all open orders and ensuring top on time delivery %
  • Ensuring feedback for quotes not translated to orders
  • Support other departments by providing vital feedback on customer requirements
  • Stay up to date with new products and features
  • Manage maintenance of sales and customer records
  • Ensuring cross departmental harmonisation
  • Assist the sales director on various issues as and when required
  • Manage pricing projects and ensuring their on-time completion
  • Assisting in implementing a regimented contract review and open order review process
  • Supporting the outside sales team where necessary
  • Managing the back-office function and ensuring it runs smoothly
  • Assisting in stock rotations
  • Regularly reviewing GRVs and ensuring sales order reservations are flowing correctly
  • Working closely with procurement, operations and quality departments on the daily customer service improvements
  • Flexibility to work out of office hours to support the team, if required to do so

Competencies and Key Skills

  • Proven experience in achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Ideally a degree holder
  • Always upholds professionalism
  • Highly focused and maintaining accuracy in extreme pressure situations
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of KPI’s
  • Advanced Excel skills are required for this role
  • Experience in a similar role will be an advantage
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Project and time management skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines
